Moseh | Moisés Ocón Hidalgo
Born on October 2, 1981, in the province of Limón, Costa Rica. He spent his youth in a small caribbean community surrounded by banana plantations, lagoons, and rivers. After finishing school he relocated to the beautiful “City of Flowers” in the province of Heredia, where he began university studies in Business Administration—a degree he completed successfully before starting a career in various economic sectors.

Since childhood, he had a strong curiosity about the visual arts, especially painting. But it wasn’t until his early university years, almost by chance, that he took some art courses—awakening that early creative spark even more. It wasn't until mid-2017, through life’s twists and turns (many still hard to explain), that he suddenly found himself drawn to drawing and painting.

This need to paint led him to research, experiment, and take small courses in oil painting. It became more than a hobby—it felt like a calling. He began painting almost every day, driven by the belief that the only way to learn is by doing and experimenting through art.

The artist currently lives with his wife in Regensburg, Germany, where he became a member of a local painters’ group called Regensburger Sonntagsmaler. Through this collective, as well as independently, he has participated in several exhibitions, continuing to share his work with a broader audience.
